A Riverine flood alert is discontinued.
The Met Service says the South Oropouche River is now contained at this time and the threat of further riverine flooding has decreased considerably.
It says some locations remain waterlogged, but this will improve gradually.
However, isolated showers this afternoon may slow this process.
Members of the public are asked to continue to monitor weather conditions and river/water levels.
Monitor updates from official sources and do not take unnecessary risks.
Avoid driving or wading through flood waters.
