RHA heads to meet with MoH today in light of mass vaccine issues

After another day of problems with the rollout of the mass vaccination plan, reports are that heads of the various Regional Health Authorities are to meet with officials of the Ministry of Health today.

Day two of the plan, which was expected to run smoothly and in alphabetical order from A to E, went nothing as planned, as hundreds again turned up expecting to get their first jab of the vaccines, but had to be turned away.

This took place as health centres were only allocated 50 doses of the vaccine each yesterday, completely frustrating the over 60 target, who would have turned up from as early as 6am.

Besides the issue of only 50 doses by health centre, only people with surnames from each letter of the five-block alphabet were vaccinated yesterday. This works out to be only ten persons per letter being vaccinated daily at each designated health centre.

Those from A to E who were unable to get on the list yesterday, will have to wait until their cycle comes back next week.
