Residents in the Brasso district will now be serviced by the Gran Couva Police Station

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has announced the repurposing of the Brasso Police Station.

Residents in the Brasso district will now be serviced by the Gran Couva Police Station.

The move, which is expected to be completed within the next two weeks, is part of the transition of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) into 21st Century Policing and in keeping with international best practices.

Brasso officers and their resources will be reassigned to the Gran Couva Station, while the Brasso Police Station will now be occupied by other agencies within the TTPS.

Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Central Division, Curt Simon, believe the change will facilitate a more efficient use of resources, resulting in an increased police presence and greater investigative capacity for both districts.

Brasso and Gran Couva residents can also expect a faster police response, improved community relations and an overall increase in public safety.

The Division looks forward to the public’s support with this initiative and gives the assurance that Snr. Supt. Simon will continue to be available to address their concerns.
