It seems that reprieve is finally coming for the residents of Grants Road, Rousillac.
After protesting the deplorable condition of their roadway, repair work is scheduled to begin today, Wednesday.
UNC Otaheite/Rousillac councillor Javed Mohammed, said they were given an assurance by a Director of Ministry of Works that work will start Wednesday.
However, one resident said that if the work does not start as promised, they will be retaliating.
Work was initially carded for last week but a rep for the Ministry said it had to be pushed back because of the weather.
