A 26 year-old radio announcer, television presenter and DJ has died in a car crash.
Kernell Alexander, aka Kritik, of Chase Village, Chaguanas was involved in a car accident with three others which occurred in Couva on Saturday 28 February 2021.
The three survivors, including another DJ, known as Selecta Leary, are warded at the San Fernando General Hospital.
According to a TTPS report the accident occurred just after 4 am, after the driver fell asleep while driving a Nissan B15 car which Alexander and others were travelling in, while heading south on the Solomon Hochoy Highway.
The report further states that the front seat passenger attempted to prevent the car from crashing into to a pole by turning the steering wheel.
However the car crashed on the shoulder on the highway.
All four passengers were taken to hospital, however Alexander succumbed to his injuries.
