R. Kelly ordered to pay $300K in restitution to his sex trafficking victims

R. Kelly has been ordered to pay at least $300,000 in restitution to two of his victims.

A judge said on Wednesday during a restitution hearing in Brooklyn, which the disgraced singer attended via Zoom from the Chicago prison that two people would be compensated for herpes and therapy treatment.

The judge revealed that one of the women named Jane would receive an estimated $300,000 to cover the costs she’s amassed from her herpes-related treatment/medication, while another victim named Stephanie has yet to have her total calculated and finalized.

Following another trial pertaining to child pornography in his Chicago case, the 55-year-old was found guilty on six counts but not guilty on seven others.

Jane was deemed a star witness to prosecutors, claiming she was paid off by the singer before his 2008 trial regarding a previous child pornography trial where her parents ensured the singer they would not testify against him.
