During the debate, Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, gave a breakdown of figures relating to deaths in Trinidad and Tobago from cigarette smoking.
Minister Deyalsingh said there is also a high cost for tax payers in terms of the medical care for persons who have developed lung cancer due to smoking.
