A quarter of a million dollars worth of alcohol was stolen on Monday, just as it was about to be delivered to a supermarket.
Around midday on Monday, the 30-year-old delivery driver from Princes Town, told police that he was about to deliver the alcohol to Happiness Supermarket, Curepe, when on approaching the Broome Street entrance, he was stopped by two masked gunmen.
The driver was pulled out of the vehicle and then bundled into a white Nissan B14.
The man said he was tied up and his face covered with a bandana.
He was then dropped off at Tenth Avenue, Barataria.
Police later found the delivery truck on the ramp of the Maritime flyover, minus the alcohol.
