PTSC says service safe, after employee tests positive for Covid19

The Public Transportation Service Corporation (PTSC) has given the assurance that its services will resume as normal.

This after an employee recently contracted the Covid19 virus, thus forcing a temporary disruption of service at the PTSC’s City Gate branch.

Reports are that the employee showed up for work last week with flu-like symptoms but was sent home. The employee later tested positive for the virus.

PTSC Chairman Edward Gooding said “It’s not the first time we’ve had somebody who has tested positive for Covid at PTSC and we followed all the procedures.”

Gooding, speaking to GML, said that ”It has not affected our bus service. All our services are running as planned. The buses are sanitised before they go out on a trip, the passengers are required to use masks, they are required to sanitise before they board the bus and we are only running 50 per cent capacity so there’s one passenger in a seat.”

He reassured the public that it is safe to travel with the service.
