PSA Willing To Work With Government On WASA Restructing Plan, Says President Baptiste

The Public Services Association is willing to work with the government in what it describes as good faith concerning the transformation plan for the Water and Sewage Authority.

Recently government said it will cut by half the management of WASA as part of its restructuring move.

However, President of the PSA, Leroy Baptiste, in an interview with News Power Now, on Monday, said it would like to see certain action taken at the utility.

Mr Baptiste said these include introducing a metering system for customers and having appropriate tariffs in place.

Mr Baptiste said the PSA has demonstrated in the past its willingness to work for the betterment of WASA.
