Former Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee President, Brian Lewis, is suggesting physical education and sports be introduced into the primary school system.
Mr Lewis made the proposal while speaking during an interview with Power 102 Digital today.
Mr Lewis cited the importance of giving sports greater attention at the primary school level adding it’s a good platform in the development of the nation.
He said given the various challenges facing Trinidad and Tobago at this time sports is one of the avenues which can lead the way.
Mr Lewis said going back into the communities and attracting young people to the different sporting disciplines in an organised forum is necessary as it can channel their energy in positive pursuits.
