Professor of Veterinary Virology, Chris Oura says there needs to be more than one covid-19 vaccine

Professor of Veterinary Virology at UWI, Chris Oura says he is hopeful that the COVID vaccine announced by drug maker Pfizer is as successful as it claims to be.

However he warns that there needs to be more than one vaccine if the fight against COVID is to be successful.

Speaking on Power 102 FM’s Power Breakfast Show, Professor Oura said this is necessary if the world is to be immunized in the shortest time possible.

Professor Oura noted that a COVID vaccine may become something that is required on an annual basis as some level of herd immunity is required.
