Professor Emerita Alma Harris To Lead UWI Lecture On Future-Proofing Education

A lecture by the University of the West Indies St Augustine Campus, on Sunday, will consider the impact of COVID-19 on education systems around the world.

The UWI says the event is aimed at identifying the possibilities and priorities for education systems in the future.

It says it aims to highlight the educational issues that have been generated because of the pandemic and will consider ‘what’s next’ for education systems, as they emerge from challenging times globally.

Professor Emerita Alma Harris will examine what matters most for those leading and working within education systems and what is essential to future-proof the learning of young people in our schools.

Professor Harris is internationally known for her research and writing in school leadership and system improvement.

She is also a consultant to the World Bank and has recently been selected to serve on the Council of the Learned Society Wales.
