Procurement legislation important in current economic climate says Afra Raymond

Anticorruption activist, Afra Raymond, says the procurement legislation and regulations must be put into place before the upcoming National budget.

Finance minister Colm Imbert has announced that budget day is set to be October 4th.

However, Mr Raymond, told Power 102 Digital that given the present economic circumstances, it is imperative that this be dealt with prior to the national Budget.

He explained why he felt it was important in the current economic climate.

However, he suggested that his hopes may not be met.

The Chartered Surveyor and Past-President of the Joint Consultative Council for the Construction Industry, explained why he believes that the process has been and will be a drawn out one.
