Prisoner Charged for Possession of Prohibited Articles

An inmate of the Port of Spain Prison is scheduled to appear before a Master of the Court on charges related to the possession of prohibited items.

Theon Agard was charged following an intelligence-driven operation conducted by police officers at the prison on 6th June 2024. During an extensive search of the prison cells, officers allegedly discovered and confiscated one Samsung cell phone, a Bluetooth headset, and a quantity of cannabis from Agard’s cell.

On Friday, July 5, 2024, a subsequent operation was carried out at the Port of Spain Prison under the directive of DCP Intelligence and Investigations, Suzette Martin, leading to Agard being charged with Possession of Prohibited Articles.

Investigations are ongoing.
