A prison officer has been arrested with marijuana outside the prison walls.
Officers of the northern division were conducting several exercises on Tuesday, during which, a 38-year-old prison officer was arrested after his vehicle was searched at the Golden Grove Maximum Security prison, Arouca.
Police found 8 packets containing marijuana amounting to 1kg, 109 grams in the man’s vehicle.
