Prime Minister Rowley Appeals To World Leaders To Go The Way Of Renewable Energy

Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, is urging leaders gathered for the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow to step up their efforts in the use of renewable energy and improve efficiency in other areas of innovation.

Dr Rowley said according to the World Energy Outlook in order for the globe to shift from its current unsustainable path there is need for focus to be placed on driving renewable and sustainable electrification.

Dr Rowley said reliability and affordability are critical factors which must be demonstrated as the push continues to reduce emissions.

Prime Minister Rowley called on world leaders to ensure the outcome of the summit will provide a meaningful path to accomplish objectives identified.

Dr Rowley highlighted the impact of climate change on Trinidad and Tobago.

Dr Rowley admitted Trinidad and Tobago will need some financial help in addressing challenges encountered in this area.
