Prestige Holdings clears up provision of cold storage trucks to NAMDEVCO

Prestige Holdings Limited has clarified the details surrounding the provision of refrigerated trucks to the National Agricultural Marketing and Development Corporation (Namdevco).

In a statement on Saturday, Prestige Holdings said in July, Namdevco reached out to the company to assist them with the distribution of food hampers to the needy.

The arrangement, they said, started on Wednesday and the truck services are being provided three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

Prestige Holdings is supplying the trucks free of charge.

However, it noted each truck needs a crew which consists of a driver and a loader.

The company said Namdevco has agreed to pay for the cost of labour ($408 per truck “crew” per day).

In addition, Prestige Holdings is providing eight trucks and as agreed with Namdevco, it will be reimbursed for fuel based on receipts.
