President Paula-Mae Weekes and her 92-year-old mother, Phyllis Weekes, have received their Covid19 vaccinations.

The President, who is 62-years-old, along with her mom Phyllis, received the shots this morning at the Diego Martin Health Centre

Cheryl Lala, communications adviser to the President, confirmed that the women had a 9 am appointment at the Centre on the Wendy Fitzwilliam Blvd. They received their shots at 9.10 am and were observed for 30 minutes, as is the procedure.

Lala said both women were “perfectly fine” and Weekes was back to work at the Office of the President.

Long lines were reported outside the Diego Martin Health Centre this morning, as elderly people lined up to register to receive their Covid19 vaccines.
