President swears in 12 new judges; Keith Scotland’s wife makes the list

President Paula Mae-Weekes has sworn in twelve new judges of the Supreme Court – the single largest group appointed together.

The swearing in ceremony took place at President’s House on December 1st and attended by Chief Justice Ivor Archie.

The new judges are:
George Busby, Tricia Hudlin-Cooper, Mauriceia Joseph, Nalini Singh, Gillian Scotland, wife of Port of Spain South MP Keith Scotland, Linda Khan, Sherene Murray-Bailey, Jade Rodriguez, Delisa Noel Christopher, Halcyon Yorke-Young, Nirala Bansee-Sookhai, and former assistant solicitor general Karen Reid.
