Government is reviewing its policies and guidelines for the agriculture incentives programme.
The population is being assured this exercise will make the initiative more accessible and supportive of the industry and its stakeholders.
Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture Land and Fisheries, Avinash Singh, made the disclosure as he responded to a question which asked him to state the specific incentives or relief measures undertaken to assist fisher folk to treat with the increased fuel prices.
Minister Singh provided information and gave a breakdown of details pertaining to how fisher folk benefited from the incentives in the past two years.
