Witness Protection Programme defended despite state witness refusal

The effectiveness of the Witness Protection Programme is defended by President of the Police Social and Welfare Association, Acting Assistant Superintendent, Gideon Dickson.

Speaking on the Afternoon Power Drive Programme on Power 102 Digital highlighted the impressive track record of the programme over the years.

The matter was raised in the context of a question posed to him on the issue of trust and confidence in the service.

Nonetheless, his comments come days after state witness Jehlano Romney was murdered after refusing police protection.
