Police trying to ID man found dead in Chaguanas drain; victim was chopped and run over

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who was chopped and run over in Chaguanas on Tuesday

Officers found the unidentified victim in the drain along Lalla Street just before 6am, after they received a call from residents, of a commotion in the street around 5.15 am.

First responders PCs Gaskin and Parks of the Chaguanas CID responded to the report and found the man lying motionless on Lalla Street.

Residents reported seeing a man of East Indian descent chopping the victim.
The attacker then got into a silver Kia Sportage and drove over the victim several times. It is believed that there were other occupants in the SUV.
