Cunupia Police are currently searching for a lone suspect involved in a robbery of a vehicle on Monday night.
The vehicle has since been recovered and is being processed by crime scene investigators before being returned to its owner later today.
According to the victim, at 8:30 pm he parked his silver Toyota Hilux motor vehicle a short distance away from a
food establishment located at the corner of Railway and Bridal Road, Cunupia, to go purchase a meal.
While proceeding to the business place, a man attacked the victim, pointed a gun at him, and took his keys for the vehicle.
The victim told police that the suspect made him lie face down on the ground before escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash and several of his personal belongings.
The police were contacted and an all-point bulletin (APB) was issued for the vehicle and the suspect.
At 10: 50 pm, the stolen vehicle was discovered in some bushes off Warren Road, Cunupia, where it was subsequently taken to the Cunupia Police Station to undergo forensic processing.
