Police Officer, 35, passes away from COVID-19

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service mourns the passing of another police officer to COVID-19.

PC SAIED ALI, 35, who enlisted into the TTPS on July 15th, 2019 was last attached to the Financial Investigations Branch.

PC Ali tested positive for COVID-19 and passed away on Wednesday 5th January, 2022.

He will be buried today under full Muslim rites.

PC Ali leaves to mourn his mother and his two brothers. Snr. Supt. Wendell Lucas of the Financial Investigations Branch, when asked to comment on the passing of the officer who he affectionately nicknamed ‘Central”, describes him as pleasant, dedicated and committed.

PC Ali received an award last month during the divisions’ award ceremony for his commitment to duty.
