Police kill four bandits involved in a heist outside Pennywise Plaza, La Romaine

Police officers killed four bandits who were involved in a heist outside of Pennywise Plaza in La Romaine.

The incident left two guards who were transporting large sum of cash, dead.

Jeffrey Peters who was an Allied Security Officer and another male officer passed away while one female officer is in critical condition in hospital.

Snr. Supt. Richard Smith, Head of the Southern Division said four of the bandits were killed by police inside a house at Pond Street La Romaine during a shootout.

Smith said the bandits abandoned their initial getaway car along the M2 Ring Road and robbed a passing motorist of his vehicle.

The car was later found abandoned and police were able to locate the bandits who fled into a house at Pond Street.
