Police hold 11 more people for breaching curfew, while 45 ticketed for no mask

Over the past 24 hours, police have detained 11 people for breaching the curfew.

In an update from the Police Service this morning, the TTPS release shows that the 11 new arrests move the total number of arrests for this offence to 487 persons, since the State of Emergency was activated in May.

Forty-five people were issued tickets for failing to wear their face mask properly (or at all), while 15 people were arrested for breaching the Public Health Regulations.

According to the update, 1,015 police officers are in quarantine at present, while the total number of those who have tested positive for COVID now stands at 288 police officers.
