Police foil warehouse robbery

Three men were arrested while attempting to break into a business place.

They were held during an anti-crime exercise conducted in Arima between the hours of 11 pm on Sunday 21st February and 2 am on Monday 22nd February, 2021.

During the exercise, the officers received information and proceeded to the compound of a business place located at Tumpuna Road, Arima, where men were attempting to break into a warehouse.

The party of officers surrounded the compound and subsequently arrested three men, a 41-year-old from Arima, a 20-year-old from Arima, and a 24-year-old from Sangre Grande.

The exercise was coordinated by Insp Ward, WPC Augustus, PC Seetaram and PC Noriega along with Cpl Banton, Cpl Francois and PC Leander of the Special Operation Response Team (SORT).

PC Noriega is continuing enquiries.
