A 44-year-old Police Constable was shot and killed in Diego Martin on Friday afternoon.
Around 3:20pm, PC Clarence Gilkes was with a team of officers from the Western Division Task Force on Rich Plains Road, Diego Martin, to execute a search warrant on a man when they were allegedly fired upon.
Gilkes was shot and was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead.
Investigations are ongoing.
