Constable Brendon Mohammed, a fingerprint expert working with the Criminal Records Office in Port of Spain, was found shot in the head.
According to police reports Constable Mohammed was found dead near a primary school.
A gun was found hear his body. A farmer walking along Robert Trace in Warrenville found the body just after 12:30pm today, Thursday 17th October.
It was reported that he called his wife and told her that he loved her.
The body was clad in the clothing which he was seen wearing when he left home to attend court. Mohammed lived at El Carmen Road in St. Helena.
