The Police Service has completed its investigation into the incident at sea involving the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard and a vessel that resulted in the death of a Venezuelan baby on February 6, 2022.
Minister of National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds, told the parliament the TTPS is in the process of seeking the advice of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Minister Hinds made the disclosure while responding to a question posed to him by the Opposition on the matter.
The parliament was told the firearms and projectile involved in the incident have since been seized and analysed by the Trinidad and Tobago Forensic Science Centre.
