A man had to be treated for minor bruises and scratches, after he tried to avoid being arrested and jumped from a wall.
Police said officers of the Northern Division visited a house in Pinto Road, Arima, at 7 am yesterday to execute a search warrant.
When the 33-year-old suspect saw the police, he tried to run onto Ifill Lane nearby, however police anticipated this and posted officers in the area.
On seeing this the man jumped over a wall but fell, injuring himself.
Police arrested the man and took him to the Arima Health Facility where he was treated.
Investigators searched the man’s home and found six rounds of 5.56 ammunition.
