Member of Parliament for Pointe-a-Pierre, David Lee, claimed the ruling administration has failed to deliver on several promises.
Mr. Lee made the statement in Parliament today during the Budget debate.
He said the refinery once sold will be of no good use for its present buyer, claiming that it will be like buying into scrap metal; this he says given the current state of the refinery.
Mr Lee voiced concern on the refinery and highlighted matters surrounding the retirees of Petrotrin.
He said the country’s energy sector is not in a good position.
Mr. Lee also claims that based on current broken promises by the Government, the sale of the refinery has been stalled.
