A fire destroyed a supermarket in the Point Fortin area on Tuesday.
Flames were seen coming from the Budget Rite Supermarket at Main Field Road near Victor Chin Kit park around 3am and police and fire officials were notified.
Reports state that the fire was put out but reignited hours later, and firefighters returned to extinguish it.
The supermarket is operated by Chinese nationals and damages are currently estimated at over $2million.
Point Fortin police are investigating.
