Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley last Saturday said his eldest brother, whom he did not name, died at the Scarborough General Hospital on Friday night.
In a brief message posted on his Facebook page, Rowley, said that his brother “passed peacefully away” and that he wanted to “thank all those nurses and other health care givers at Scarborough General Hospital for the care and attention provided to us all during his period of ailment.
“I pray not for the burdens to be made lighter but for my shoulders to be strengthened to bear them,” he added.
Rowley gave no indication as to the cause of death of his eldest brother nor when the funeral would take place.
The funeral for Dr. Rowley’s brother took place today in the presence of five people, in keeping with T&T’S COVID-19 prevention measures.
