Ten children are currently in hospital as a result of COVID-19.
Principal Medical Officer of Institutions, Dr. Maryam Abdool-Richards, stated during today’s media briefing at the Diplomatic Centre, St Ann’s that they have been observing a worrying trend, where increasing numbers of children are being hospitalised with COVID-19.
Dr. Richards shared that 10 children are currently hospitalised with the virus, with 8 at the Ward Level, 1 at the HDU level and 1 at the ICU level.
