PM warns Kamla over inappropriate and desperate ‘vaccine vagrant’ comment

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has placed Opposition leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar on notice, following her “inappropriate” description of him as a “vaccine vagrant”.

On Saturday, a release from the UNC Leader described Rowley as a “vaccine vagrant” and a “con man,” following his media conference on the reopening of all construction and laundromats and the details on the arrival of vaccines.

In response, Rowley said “She (Persad-Bissessar) has made a career of attempting to denigrate my person and character according to her hopeful preference, but the next time she decides to describe and label, I will describe her fully.”

In an interview with the Express, he pointed out that Persad-Bissessar referred to him in the news release as being “unkempt and grubby looking”, Rowley said: “At least her description of me applies to my clothes which are easily changed frequently but, unfortunately for her, my descriptions of her will be of the indelible variety which she wakes up with every morning and all I will use are going to be from the Ten Commandments.”

The Prime Minister also condemned her continued attacks against the team of health professionals that included CMO Dr Roshan Parasram and Epidemiologist Dr Avery Hinds, who he said have proven to be loyal and devoted to their profession, to the people they serve and to the country.
