PM Rowley: Gov’t Making Most Of Available Resources In Wake Of $35 Billion Fuel Subsidy Bill

Over 35 billion dollars have been spent by the government on fuel subsidy.

Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, says the government is trying to make the most of the resources available in these trying economic times.

Dr Rowley said there are Caribbean territories where a fuel subsidy is not a feature at all.

The Prime Minister said the government is determined to ensure consumption is reduced, being more efficient and is concerned about the price of fuel.

Dr Rowley said there is growing demand on the government and every attempt will be made to ensure the population benefits where practical as well.
