Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley received his first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine at the Diego Martin Health Centre this morning.

On Saturday, during the media briefing at the Diplomatic Centre, he had stated that he was hoping to receive his vaccine this week, after being giving the all-clear following his contraction of the virus a few months ago.

Chinese Ambassador H.E. Fang Qiu has congratulated Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley on receiving his first dose of the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine, today.

Ambassador Fang Qiu wrote: “Heartened to know on my way to the airport to receive the 800,000 doses Sinopharm vaccines! This is leadership by example and in action! China will continue standing with Trinidad and Tobago in solidarity to prevail over this pandemic.”
