The government is assuring the population that relevant details of the outcome of the evaluation of bids for the Guaracara refinery will be disclosed on the completion of the exercise.
Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, gave the update while addressing an Energy Conference in Port of Spain Tuesday.
Dr Rowley said three final bids were received in April this year.
Dr Rowley said the bids were then evaluated by Trinidad Petroleum Holdings Limited as well as relevant ministry officials.
The Prime Minister revealed one of the bidders were chosen and has entered into the next phase of the negotiations with TPHL.
