Speaker of the House of Representatives, Bridget Anisette George, is commended by Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, for the way she handled proceedings during Thursday’s meeting of the Electoral College.
On numerous times during the deliberations there were strong comments directed towards the House Speaker from Members of the Opposition.
At one stage the Member of Parliament for St Augustine, Khadijah Ameen, raised issue with the presence of Independent Senator Cherrise Seepersad, who is the sister of former Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Bliss Seepersad.
