PM Awaiting Confirmation From TTPS Before Acting On Allegations Against Foster Cummings

The Prime Minister is making it clear he cannot act on the latest allegations from an Opposition Senator against government minister, Foster Cummings, until such claims are confirmed by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.

Dr Keith Rowley explained he will not be drawn into any verbal clash with the Opposition on this or any other another subject.

Dr Rowley, at the weekly post cabinet media briefing Thursday afternoon, said he always reminds his cabinet members of the importance of adhering to honesty and integrity adding failure to do so will bring the appropriate course of action with law enforcement.

The Prime Minister said he is making no defence for anyone in his government and everyone is responsible for their action.

Dr Rowley said he remains focused on managing the country’ affairs and will not be distracted from this approach.
