A PH taxi driver was shot and killed in Morvant on Sunday.
The incident took place along Coco Road, Mon Repos, Morvant.
Police said officers of the Morvant district responded to a report of gunshots around 11.30 am and discovered the body of an African male with a Rasta hairstyle lying on the side of the roadway with gunshot wounds to the head and torso.
The victim was rushed to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex but he was pronounced dead on arrival at 11.58 am.
Police recovered three spent nine-millimetre casings at the scene.
Investigators said they received allegations that the victim raped a minor which was not reported to police. Investigators believe the killing could be tied to this incident.
