Pensioner robbed at his Calcutta home

An 85-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint at his Calcutta Road #1 home on Sunday morning.

Sookdeo Seecharan told police that armed men entered his home through a back door on the western side of the house around 2am.

They then entered Seecharan’s bedroom located on the north eastern ground floor, pointed a gun at his back and tied him up.

The armed men then ransacked his bedroom and stole his bank card, a quantity of cash, a wood chipping machine, a welding machine, a pressure washer and a Kia Pick-up.

Seecharan has dual citizenship with T&T and the US and travels back and forth between both countries.
