Patroits Defeat Tallawahs By Eight Wickets In Latest CPL Action

Defending Caribbean Premier League Champions,  St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, won by 8 wickets on the Duckworth Lewis system against second placed Jamaica Tallawahs.

The match was played at the Queen’s Park Oval, St Clair, today.

Set 140 to win Patriots, currently third place, reached 113 for 2 from 12.3 overs.

Opener Andre Fletcher led the way with 45 runs; Darren Bravo 39 and Evin Lewis 20 were the main contributors with the bat.

Earlier 40 runs from Raymon Reifer helped Tallawahs reach 139 for 5 from 20 overs batting first.

Later, Trinbago Knight Riders will take on Guyana Amazon Warriors in their second home game at the Oval at 7 this evening.

TKR lost to CPL Leader Barbados Royals by 8 wickets Tuesday night.

Scores in the game, TKR 132 from 20 over, Nicholas Pooran top scored with 52 runs.

Royals 136 for 2 from 16 overs, Player of the Match, Kyle Myers top scored with 79 runs from 36 balls.

His innings included 10 fours and five sixes.

Looking at the standings Royals are at the top with 12 points after winning all six matches.

They are followed by Tallawahs on 6 points from five games.

St Lucia Kings and the Patriots on 4 points, while the Warriors and TKR are on 3 points.
