Over Thirty-Three Thousand Persons Between Twelve To Eighteen In TT Have Received First Dose Covid Vaccine.

To date, over  thirty-three thousand persons in Trinidad and Tobago from aged twelve to eighteen have received their first dose of this World Health Organization approved COVID-19 vaccine.

This information is revealed by the Ministry of Health.

In a media release Friday, the Ministry said on August 18th this year, it began the administration of COVID-19 vaccines to persons from this age group.

The Ministry said parents and guardians are reminded full vaccination is achieved two weeks after receipt of the second dose of this WHO-approved vaccine.

It says parents and guardians are therefore encouraged to check their child’s Immunization card to confirm the date that the first dose was administered and to ensure that they present their children for their second dose three weeks later.

It says this second dose can be accessed and is available at any of the twenty-five convenient vaccination locations throughout the country.
