The exercise began at 8.30 am and lasted just over four hours, concluding around 1 pm.
The Ministry of Education had advised parents and guardians that students must be collected promptly once the exam finished, and from all accounts, these rules were followed.
New Education Minister, Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, made a school visit this morning ahead of the exams and spoke with reporters on the scene.
She said she wanted to see what arrangements were in place to ensure the students’ medical health.
She also said she wanted to get a sense of how prepared students were in the context of the pandemic.
The Education Minister said also that important decisions have to be made especially in the context of the pandemic.
