Over 48 Millon Dollars Spent By Cruise Ship Passengers In TT During The 2022/2023 Season

Over TT 48 million dollars is the estimated passenger spend during the 2023/2024 cruise season.

The actual amount is 48 million, 568 thousand, 292 dollars.

177 thousand, 579 passengers visited Trinidad and Tobago during the period in question and this is a 46% increase over 2023.

The figure stood at 95 thousand, 107 last year.

78,051 passengers arrived at the port of Port of Spain while 99, 528 passengers visited the Scarborough/ Charlotteville port.

This information is revealed by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts.

It says the season was marked by increases in passenger arrivals, tour participation and economic impact.

The season, which commenced on October 11th, 2023, ended with the maiden voyage of the luxury vessel Island.

Six new cruise ships made inaugural calls to our islands this season, including Seabourn Pursuit, Jewel of the Seas, MSC Seaside, Seven Seas Splendor, Silver Dawn and Island Sky.
