According to reports, over $325,000 was stolen from a bookkeeper from the Drugs Sou Sou (DSS) organisation on Thursday.
Denisha Ramirez, 32, said she was leaving Trincity Mall with her brother, Vernon Ramirez, 34, around 6:30 pm on Thursday night when a man approached them.
The man grabbed the bag from her, and although her brother tried to retrieve it from the suspect, he escaped in a red station wagon that was waiting for him.
The suspect was described as being of African descent, fair-skinned, slim build with short hair.
Denisha is said to be a nurse at the North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA).
The DSS has been under investigation following the return of over TT$22million that was initially taken by the police as part of an investigation.
Barbadian police officers have arrived in Trinidad to assist in the investigations.
