Some 1,318 students were suspended from schools in term 3 of the 2021\2022 academic year.
This information was made public by Minister of Education, Dr Nyan Gadsby Dolly at the weekly post cabinet news briefing held at the Diplomatic Center, St Ann’s on Thursday.
Dr Gadsby Dolly provided a breakdown of the suspensions, indicating that most suspensions issued were for fights without weapons 275, assault without weapons 127, and disrespect or defiance to authority 114.
